Pre-Shiver St. Paddy's Day Party:
Kick off the weekend with the festive pre-Shiver St. Paddy's Day Party on Friday, March 15th from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor. For a $30 entrance fee, enjoy an Irish-themed buffet, cash bar, DJ, ticketed auction, and the opportunity to meet the 2024 Shiver King and Queen. It's the perfect way to get into the spirit of the event and mingle with fellow participants.
Sip and Dip Celebration at Fred’s Tavern:
On Saturday, March 16th, the excitement continues with the Sip and Dip celebration at Fred’s Tavern, starting at 10 am. Join in the pre-Shiver activities and gear up for the main event. At noon, the parade, accompanied by the lively WHOAPHAT Brass Band, will depart from Fred’s Tavern Parking Lot, taking a route that reflects the vibrant spirit of the occasion.
Shiver Showdown Competition:
From 12:15 to 1 pm, get ready for the Shiver Showdown competition, where participants can showcase their creativity and enthusiasm for the "Best of" Shiver categories. It's a chance to exhibit your unique style and add to the festive atmosphere before taking the plunge.
The Main Event:
At 1:15, gather at the water's edge and wait for the cannon to sound before bravely venturing into the chilly Atlantic Ocean. Whether you're a seasoned participant or a first-time plunger, the experience is sure to be unforgettable. Afterward, head back to Fred’s Tavern for the after-party, featuring "The Quinn Brothers Band" in the tent in Fred’s parking lot. It's the perfect way to warm up and continue the celebration with fellow thrill-seekers and supporters.
